RSN Celebrate International Women Day 2023

International Women’s Day

Date: March 08, 2023

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Rohingya Student Network - RSN expresses solidarity with Rohingya women who have suffered as a result of the long-standing conflict and persecution in Myanmar. We acknowledge the unique challenges faced by Rohingya women and their remarkable ability to remain resilient in the face of adversity.

We demand the empowerment of Rohingya women and request that the international community take concrete measures to ensure their safety and well-being. This includes safeguarding Rohingya women from the grave issue of human trafficking, which has become prevalent in refugee camps and other areas.

We call on all stakeholders to prioritize the protection and empowerment of Rohingya women by providing access to education, employment opportunities, healthcare, and legal safeguards. Only by investing in the potential of Rohingya women can we create a brighter future for the entire Rohingya community.

As we celebrate International Women's Day, we commemorate the strength and perseverance of Rohingya women and pledge to continue advocating for their rights and empowerment. We urge everyone to join us in our efforts to create a better tomorrow for all Rohingya women.

“النِّسَاءُ شَقَائِقُ الرِّجَالِ” – رواه الترمذي

"Women are the counterparts of men." - reported by Al-Tirmidhi.

This hadith emphasizes the importance of recognizing the complementary nature of men and women in society. It suggests that men and women are equal in their worth and importance, but each has different strengths and roles to play. Overall, this hadith underscores the importance of promoting equality, mutual respect, and cooperation between men and women.
